Branding Badge ("we", "us") is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through brandingbadge.ca and how we use it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Information you send us. If you email us or use the Support page, we receive your name, email address and the message you write. The Support page opens your own email app with the message filled in. Nothing is sent to us until you press send in your email app.
• Order details. If you order a design, the business details, content and files you send us so we can build your site.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never touch our website or servers. We do not ask you to create an account.

The FAQ helper

The chat box on our pages is an automated FAQ helper. It runs in your browser. What you type into it is not sent to us or to anyone else, and it is not stored after you leave the page.

Cookies

We do not set cookies or use advertising or analytics trackers on these pages.

Third parties

• Hosting: Vercel serves our pages and keeps server logs.
• Payments: Stripe processes card payments on our checkout page. Stripe collects your card and billing details and shares payment confirmation with us. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the data it handles.
• Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google and your IP address is shared with them.
• Email: messages you send us pass through our email provider.

These providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it can be accessed under local laws. We do not sell your personal information.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your questions, give quotes, build and deliver your site, provide support, keep the site secure and meet legal duties. We do not use it for other purposes without your consent.

How long we keep it

We keep emails and order files only as long as we need them for the purposes above or the law requires, then delete or anonymize them.

Safeguards

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, such as secure connections (HTTPS) and limited access. No online service is perfectly secure.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, withdraw consent, or ask us to delete it, subject to legal limits. Email info@brandingbadge.ca and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
